Overview

Arauco is a leading forest products company seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee our Tree Fibre Handling (TFH) operations.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional to lead our TFH team, ensuring seamless operation of our facilities and compliance with regulatory requirements. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing workload, providing support during shutdowns, and participating in energy initiatives.

Responsibilities
  1. Operational Leadership: Lead by example, working collaboratively with the team to achieve area goals and personal action plans.
  2. Safety and Housekeeping: Implement and maintain safe work practices, own the TFH manual for accuracy, and ensure direct reports are lockout certified.
  3. Budget Management: Manage TFH chemical budgets, contractor costs, and overtime expenses for operational work.
  4. Training and Development: Provide training to TFH operators and participate in down days and planning support.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Operating Engineer 2nd Class Provincial Certificate
  • Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of equipment in TFH/Refining/Lump separator and Dryer rooms
What We Offer

A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
