Financial Secretary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Secretary to join our team at Peel Financial Inc. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our daily financial activities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Financial Information: Manage the flow of financial information within the team, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Administrative Support: Open and distribute mail, packages, and other materials, maintaining a well-organized workspace.
- Operational Planning: Plan and organize daily financial operations, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
- Training and Development: Train and support other team members in financial procedures and best practices.
- Office Procedures: Establish and maintain office procedures and routines, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and other financial-related activities.
- Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and respond to electronic inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Data Management: Compile and maintain accurate financial data, statistics, and other information.
- Document Preparation: Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other financial documents.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial statements and reports to management.
- Inventory Management: Operate computerized inventory record-keeping and re-ordering systems.Support Services
- Newcomer and Refugee Support: Assist newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, ensuring a smooth transition into the workforce.
- Youth Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Indigenous Support: Offer cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees, promoting a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Work Environment: This is a permanent, full-time position with a 34-hour workweek. The primary language of work is English.
