About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Mechanic and Millwright to join our team at GTA Skilled Trades. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, and repair or replace defective machinery parts.
  • Installation and Setup: Install machinery and equipment, and set up machines for operation.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate hoisting and lifting equipment, and test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, and that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and serviced.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification and Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Maintenance and service work in a fast-paced industrial setting.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, including handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
