About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Technician Assistant to join our team at JAIJIA DENTAL LAB. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a crucial role in assisting our technicians in the preparation of dental models, casting of gold or metal alloys, and other laboratory tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Dental Models: Assist in preparing plaster models and moulds for dental restorations.
  • Casting and Finishing: Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases, and finish metal frameworks of dentures.
  • Wax Work: Mould wax over dentures set-up and prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays.
  • Packing and Polishing: Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures, and polish and buff dentures.
  • Orthodontic Work: Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a college or CEGEP program in a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a commercial dental laboratory setting.
  • Work Setting: Commercial dental laboratory environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, interpersonal awareness, and reliability.
Working Conditions
  • Language: English.
  • Hours of Work: 30 hours per week.
  • Duration of Employment: Permanent.
