About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Technician Assistant to join our team at JAIJIA DENTAL LAB. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a crucial role in assisting our technicians in the preparation of dental prosthetics and appliances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Dental Models and Moulds: Assist in the preparation of plaster models and moulds for dental prosthetics and appliances.
  • Casting and Finishing: Assist in casting gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases, and finish metal frameworks of dentures.
  • Wax Work and Impression Trays: Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays for dental impressions.
  • Denture Production: Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures.
  • Orthodontic Bands: Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys.
  • Polishing and Buffing: Polish and buff dentures to a high shine.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a college or CEGEP program in a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a dental laboratory setting.
  • Work Setting: Commercial dental laboratory environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, interpersonal awareness, and reliability.
Working Conditions
  • Language: English.
  • Hours of Work: 30 hours per week.
  • Employment Type: Permanent.
