This role is part of our Claims Litigation team and requires strong expertise in Accident Benefits litigation.

As a seasoned attorney, you will be responsible for managing a full caseload of Accident Benefits litigation, including priority and loss transfer disputes. This presents a unique opportunity to handle complex files and provide valuable advice to the Claims department on litigation strategy and file handling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independent carriage of a full caseload of Accident Benefits litigation
  • Handle interesting and complex files with high degree of personal ethics, integrity, and responsibility
  • Provide expert advice to the Claims department on Accident Benefits litigation strategy and file handling
Requirements:
  • At least 6+ years of litigation experience, especially in Accident Benefits litigation
  • Strong commitment to coaching and mentoring developing lawyers
  • Passion for finding better ways
  • Empathy and ability to motivate others
  • High degree of personal ethics, integrity, and responsibility
  • Team player, adaptable to changing environment
  • Law Degree from an accredited law school (LLB or Juris Doctor)
  • Licensed by the Law Society of Ontario to practice law as a lawyer in Ontario
