Operations Supervisor

NS SPCA is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our animal shelter, ensuring the well-being of our animals, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of animal care staff, including training and development
- Ensure the shelter is clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve animal care and shelter operations
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide medical care and support to animals
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of shelter funds
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, including answering questions and addressing concerns
- 3-5 years of experience in animal care or a related field
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment
