Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Logistics Planning: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and tarping to prevent damage or loss.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license.
  • Personal Qualities: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgment, organized, reliability, and patience.
