Job Title: Truck Driver - Logistics Professional
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at G& C Logistics. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
- Perform preventive maintenance and receive and relay information to central dispatch.
- Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Excellent oral communication and efficient interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility, judgement, and reliability.
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
As a Truck Driver with G& C Logistics, you will be working in a fast-paced transportation environment with a variety of tasks and responsibilities. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.
