Agricultural Sales Specialist

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and growing a customer base, developing new potential customers, and providing agronomic information and advice on seed, pest identification, crop protection, and crop nutrient/fertilizer to Co-op customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow customer base.
- Call-on and develop new potential customers.
- Provide agronomic information and advice on seed, pest identification, crop protection, and crop nutrient/fertilizer.
- Manage routine farm customer service responsibilities, including field scouting, agronomic troubleshooting, crop planning, fertility and crop protection recommendations.
- Ensure customers are well informed on our portfolio of crop inputs, equipment & petroleum and lube products that may suit their farm business needs.
- Responsible to maintain knowledge of current industry best practices and trends.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Achieve and maintain sales, margins, and inventory targets for existing customers and expand sales to new customers.
About the Role:
This role will require the use of various computer programs and phone applications, as well as the heavy lifting of products.
