About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development and Operations to join our team at Victoria Sexual Assault Centre Society. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving our organization's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
    • Provide leadership and direction to the development team, ensuring effective planning, execution, and evaluation of programs and initiatives.
  • Resource Allocation and Management
    • Allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and materials, to support the implementation of organizational policies and programs.
    • Authorize and establish major departments and senior staff positions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the organization.
    • Represent the organization in negotiations, official functions, and other external activities, ensuring a positive and professional image.
  • Performance Management and Development
    • Select and develop middle managers, directors, and other executive staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and competencies to succeed in their roles.
    • Delegate authority and create optimal working conditions to support the success of the organization.
