About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development and Operations to join our team at Victoria Sexual Assault Centre Society. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the strategic development and growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to achieve our mission and goals.
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Resource Allocation
    • Allocate human, financial, and material resources to support the implementation of organizational policies and programs.
    • Authorize and organize the establishment of new departments and senior staff positions as needed.
  • Operational Management
    • Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure effective and efficient operations.
    • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with staff, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Performance Management
    • Develop and implement performance management systems to ensure accountability and excellence in all areas of the organization.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of organizational policies and programs.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, organizational development, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a non-profit or community-based organization.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and strategic planning skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
