Job Description

We are seeking a Dental Hygiene Specialist to join our team

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a vibrant team in a beautiful bayside community. As a Dental Hygiene Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.
  • Examining patients' oral health by assessing their gums, teeth, and soft tissues.
  • Taking and developing dental X-rays (radiographs) as needed.
  • Screening patients for signs of oral diseases, such as gum disease or cavities.

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized home care instructions.
  • Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants as necessary.
  • Assist in creating treatment plans and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure coordinated patient care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current dental hygiene license.
  • Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
  • Proficiency in using dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
