Job Description
As a Dental Hygienist - Owen Sound Oral Health Specialist, you will perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains. You will examine patients' oral health by assessing their gums, teeth, and soft tissues, take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as needed, screen patients for signs of oral diseases, educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, and administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a current dental hygiene license, strong clinical skills and attention to detail, excellent communication and patient education skills, proficiency in using dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems, and a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
