Senior Legal Advisor Regulatory Compliance

As a Senior Legal Advisor in the Regulatory Compliance team at National Bank, you will play a key role in ensuring the organization's compliance with regulatory requirements. About the RoleThe Regulatory Compliance team is responsible for monitoring and implementing legislative and regulatory changes. As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for maintaining the regulatory obligations and controls library, as well as the compliance guide. You will also be involved in the drafting of policies, procedures, and communications, and will participate in the creation of training related to regulatory changes.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the regulatory obligations and controls library and the compliance guide
- Write and/or revise the Compliance Department's policies, procedures, and communications
- Participate in the creation of training related to regulatory changes
- Perform various compliance and monitoring functions related to portfolio management for an American clientele
- Assist the various business lines in the interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements and business projects
- Capture and analyze new Bills and new regulations to inform the parties concerned of upcoming changes
- Participate in the various Wealth Management and pan-bank legislative and regulatory watch committees
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in law and regulatory compliance, with 4-6 years of experience in the securities sector. You will also need to have strong analytical and writing skills, as well as the ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
