Opportunity Summary

As the Human Resources Assistant, you will be responsible for HR Engagement initiatives and programs, participating in an effective hiring and on-boarding process for new employees. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating HR initiatives and programs, including employee surveys and executive presentations.
  • Drafting project assignment letters and ensuring full handover is complete.
  • Conducting check-ins and coffee chats with HR program participants.
  • Tracking participation and measuring success through Key Performance Indicators.
  • Administering programs, collecting nominations, and promoting activities.
  • Maintaining the new hire welcome session schedule and coordinating calendar invites.
  • Scheduling and coordinating orientations for new hires and various events.
  • Delivering employee orientations and benefit overviews.
  • Preparing new employee orientation packages and sending post-onboarding communication.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary school education with a focus in Human Resource Management.
  • Experience in supporting a department in an administrative role.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
