About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Steward to join our Food and Beverage team at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of service and quality in our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to guests and colleagues alike, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Follow all stewarding policies, procedures, and service standards to ensure a seamless and efficient experience for our guests.
  • Ensure all plates, cups, glasses, silverware, pots, and cooking utensils are cleaned and sanitized using the appropriate machinery.
  • Remove garbage and compost from the kitchen, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Supply equipment requirements for the kitchen and outlets, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working order.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Steward.

Requirements:

  • Previous stewarding experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on providing exceptional service to guests and colleagues.
  • Highly responsible and reliable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
