Locum Physician Opportunity in Dartmouth

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a short-term locum physician to cover a two-week leave for a family physician at Woodlawn Medical Centre in Dartmouth. This locum opportunity is a great chance to work in a modern clinic with a collaborative practice, including family physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialists.
ResponsibilitiesThe locum physician will be responsible for examining patients, taking their histories, ordering diagnostic tests, and advising patients on healthcare, health promotion, and disease prevention. They will also consult with other medical practitioners, act as a patient advocate, prescribe and administer medications, and report births, deaths, and contagious diseases as required.
Expected HoursThe expected hours of work will be discussed with the clinic.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada. They will also require membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
