About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at FRIENDLY DOLLAR & DISCOUNT. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage and allocate tasks to sales staff to ensure seamless store operations.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates.
  • Order Merchandise: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise.
  • Authorize Returns: Process customer returns and exchanges in a fair and efficient manner.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to meet business needs and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Sell Merchandise: Provide excellent customer service and promote sales growth through effective merchandising and sales techniques.
  • Prepare Reports: Analyze sales data and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise.
  • Organize Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure efficient stock management.
  • Supervise Staff: Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to sales associates to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Manage Cash: Handle cash transactions, manage cash handling procedures, and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Regularly evaluate sales associate performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
Work Environment

As a Retail Store Supervisor at FRIENDLY DOLLAR & DISCOUNT, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment with tight deadlines and high expectations. You must be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of retail experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
