Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Halvar Jonson Centre for Brain Injury. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing a broad range of services to patients with acquired brain injury.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement client-centered treatment programs for patients with acquired brain injury.
- Provide a range of services, including self-care, productivity, and leisure activities.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Assess and recommend adaptive equipment, wheelchairs, seating components, and UE orthotics.
- Direct the work of therapy assistants and aides.
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program.
- Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- Greater than 6 months experience in working in neurology, with stroke and brain-injured patients.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- CPR certification - BLS for Health Care Providers Level C.
