Occupational Therapist I

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Occupational Therapist I in the Adult Inpatient Program at the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will work with clients to improve their physical and mental health through assessments, goal setting, and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage referrals from acute units and complex care units
- Conduct assessments and treatments for independence in daily living tasks, mobility, and transfers
- Arrange needed equipment for in-facility and community use
- Participate in team conferences, care plans, and discharge planning
- Provide individual and group education using a client-centered care approach
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program
- Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
- Ability to work independently with a variety of clients in an active setting
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
