About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Finisher to join our team at G6 Style Cabinets. As a Cabinet Finisher, you will be responsible for making minor adjustments and repairs to furniture, preparing, sanding, and trimming wooden furniture and fixture parts, and assembling wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs to furniture
  • Prepare, sand, and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts
  • Assemble wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Stain or finish wood to specified color
  • Apply lacquer or other sealers
  • Install hardware on furniture and fixtures
  • Decorate wood surfaces
  • Inspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards
  • Clean, polish, and wax furniture
  • Mark defective parts or products for repair
  • Sand metal furniture to prepare for finish and spray with paint or other materials
  • Strip old finish from wood surface
  • Smooth gouges with wood filler and sand wood
  • Make minor repairs to furniture
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
Work Environment

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and sitting for extended periods. You will be required to work with metal, plastic, rotin/rattan, and wood materials.
