About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to join our Private Client Services team. As an Assurance Manager, you will play a key role in providing high-quality client service, managing engagement teams, and overseeing the delivery of assurance services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and high-quality client service, including coordinating review engagements and compilations of financial statements.
  • Assess risk and design procedures to engagement teams.
  • Understand and utilize RSM's review, compilation, and audit methodology.
  • Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.
  • Supervise engagement teams and function as an in-charge, facilitating field work and monitoring productivity.
  • Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to understand business developments and assess their impact on current engagements.
  • Develop others within the Firm through training and advising on career development.
  • Subscribe to industry publications and share relevant information with clients.
  • Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as needed.
  • Manage profitability of projects and identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure professional development through ongoing education.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
  • Active CPA designation in good standing.
  • 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Understanding of compilation, review, audit, and tax services with knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
  • A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
