We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Innergex. As a key member of our Health and Safety department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain our Health and Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and governmental regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on occupational health and safety matters, including conducting site safety risk assessments and observations.
- Support the incident reporting and investigation process, and develop and deliver training sessions on health and safety procedures.
- Organize and maintain current information about contractors, and prepare and report statistical data in our databases.
- Track implementation progress of H&S initiatives, and collate data for monthly H&S reports.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
- Recognized professional Health and Safety qualification is desirable.
- Knowledge of H&S regulatory framework in BC and the US.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with advanced proficiency in MS Office.
- A valid unrestricted class 5 driver's license.
- Excellent team player and strong interpersonal skills, with integrity and ethical work standards.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foster solid working relationships.
