Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master to join its dynamic Tech team.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to leverage your expertise in project management, scrum practices, and Agile methodologies to drive the success of various small- to large-sized projects. As a key member of the cross-functional team, you will collaborate with specialists in Scrum Master, Product Owners, Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and UI/UX Designers to deliver exceptional results that meet client expectations.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge in requirements planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, and support planning. With strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally, you will facilitate Agile initiatives from initiation through release, provide oversight to ensure alignment with RBC Agile/Scrum practices, and track and manage risks to delivery and reporting financials for the Team.

About the Role:

  • Facilitate Agile initiatives from initiation through release, providing oversight to ensure alignment with RBC Agile/Scrum practices, including but not limited to, project kick-off, sprint, release and deployment planning
  • Accountable alongside the scrum team for the achievement of release objectives and results that meet LOB stakeholders' needs and expectations
  • Track and manage risks to delivery and reporting financials for the Team
  • Facilitate discussion leading to collective decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution within the team
  • Remove impediments to deliver success through the proactive management of external dependencies and simple team problem-solving, considering options and selecting solutions; escalate issues through business and/or IT channels where necessary
  • Accountable for creating and maintaining the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the scrum team (e.g. tracker boards) to create a trusting and safe team environment. Manage team performance to promote joint accountability for results and solve productivity issues
  • Facilitating and engaging in business analysis, user experience and technical conversations across platforms. Navigating and identifying shared IT services required by the team in the delivery of its objectives

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in project delivery with agile teams
  • Experience in software development and/or project management and/or business (system) analysis or other relevant professional experience
  • Experience with agile practices including scrum/Kanban, agile ceremonies (standups, backlog refinement, team demos) and tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience delivering small to medium complex projects within agile team and Clear understanding of the various activities within a delivery project
  • Experience scheduling activities across all delivery teams to deliver a common capability, and Strong communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally to articulate, measure and solve issues

Salary Range:$85,000 - $115,000 per year
