Job Summary:

The Executive Director will oversee the overall operations of First Adventure Child Development Centre, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of care and education. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a deep commitment to the well-being and development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management:
    • Reports to the Board of Directors, attending monthly meetings and advising on compliance and operations.
    • Provides visionary leadership and direction to First Adventure Child Development Centre.
    • Oversees daily operations, including staff management, program development, facility maintenance, and financial viability.
  • Staff Supervision and Development:
    • Recruits, trains, and supervises staff, ensuring they meet centre standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Responsibility for day-to-day decisions to support and direct staff, programs, and organizational expansion.
    • Conducts regular performance evaluations and provides ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Program Development and Implementation:
    • Oversees implementation of age-appropriate curricula and experiences promoting children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
    • Monitors and evaluates program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed.
    • Ensures inclusion of diverse and inclusive practices in all programs.
    • implements innovative strategies to enhance care quality and family engagement.
    • Financial Management:
      • Develops and manages the centre's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and fiscal responsibility.
      • Oversees billing, payroll, and financial reporting.
      • Seeks funding opportunities and manages grants and donations.
    • Growth and Sustainability:
      • Contributes to growth and sustainability through successful enrollment strategies, community outreach, and partnerships.
      • Represents the organization in the community, fostering partnerships, advocacy, and programming initiatives.
    • Community Engagement:
      • Fosters positive relationships with parents, staff, and the community.
      • Promotes programs and services through outreach and marketing efforts.
      • Collaborates with community organizations and stakeholders.
