We are seeking highly motivated Guest Experience Representatives to join our team at Square One Shopping Centre during our seasonal period. Our ambassadors embody the spirit of hospitality, ensuring that every interaction with our guests is memorable and outstanding.

Square One Shopping Centre operates Monday-Saturday from 10AM-9PM and Sunday 11AM-7PM. Shifts can begin as early as 8AM and end as late as 10PM. These hours may vary based on special events and changes in operational hours.

This is a seasonal position beginning as early as September and continuing until January 2025, with a possibility of extension depending on business needs. We require a minimum availability of 3 days per week (including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays). As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

  • Proactively seeking opportunities to create memorable guest interactions and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assisting guests with directions/information, answering questions, and performing other shopping center-specific services as assigned.
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the shopping center's services, amenities/facilities, stores/locations, and promotional activities and/or events.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with retailers.
  • Staying up-to-date with fashion trends, having thorough knowledge about brand merchandise, price points, sales or special events to offer gift or store suggestions based on the shopper's needs.
  • Delivering all services offered at the Guest Experience locations – including selling the Square One Gift Card PLUS.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A high school education – post-secondary education in a related field preferred (i.e., Hospitality, Marketing/Communications, etc.).
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • A positive and friendly attitude, approachable, proactive, and solution-focused.
  • A strong desire to create exceptional customer experiences.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with shoppers, retailers, center management, service providers, and all shopping center personnel.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while multi-tasking and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; bilingual preferred.
  • Conflict resolution/management skills.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to change in work requirements with the ability to re-prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Computer skills – including working knowledge of social media tools, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • The ability to engage in physical activities including but not limited to: prolonged standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
