Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

We are seeking a visionary and collaborative leader to serve as our Chief Executive Officer. As the head of our organization, you will be responsible for driving our strategic plan, managing our programs and services, and ensuring our success in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with our Board of Directors to develop a vision and strategic plan for our organization.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the sound financial management of our organization to ensure its long-term sustainability.
  • Public Relations: Serve as our primary spokesperson and representative, advocating for the advancement of women in trades and technology.
  • Human Resource Management: Build, lead, and coach a team of professionals in an environment that values diversity, inclusion, and empowerment.
  • Operations Management: Lead and direct our operational plans, programs, services, and team members.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, monitor, and limit risk exposure associated with financial, operational, cybersecurity, and reputational challenges.
Requirements:
  • Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field.
  • Leadership Experience: Strong business acumen and a history of providing visionary leadership at the executive level.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate vision into common language to motivate, collaborate, and inspire others.
  • Fund Development: Advanced understanding of government/project funding, proposal writing, economic development, and sector initiatives.
  • Action Oriented: Develop and execute realistic operational plans and budgets.
  • Change Management: Ability to adapt to priorities and create a learning environment that leads to efficient and effective processes.
  • Collaboration and Diplomacy: Exhibit professional diplomacy and deliver clear, effective, and respectful communication.
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship development skills.
  • Planning and Prioritization: Plan and organize work activities, multi-task, prioritize, and juggle complex tasks and multiple projects.
  • Decision Making: Take into consideration a broad range of issues and factors to make informed and objective decisions.
