Higher Talent is seeking a visionary and collaborative leader to serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of our client, WRDC (Women in Resource Development Corporation). As the CEO, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of the organization's operations, programs, and services.
About WRDCWRDC is a provincial non-profit organization committed to increasing women's participation in trades and technology. With over 25 years of experience, WRDC has established itself as a leader in the industry, providing a range of programs and services to support women in their careers.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop a vision and strategic plan to guide WRDC's growth and sustainability.
- Financial Management: Oversee the sound financial management of the organization, ensuring its long-term sustainability.
- Public Relations and Partnership Development: Serve as the primary spokesperson and representative of WRDC, advocating for the advancement of women in trades and technology.
- Human Resource Management and Team Leadership: Build, lead, and coach a team of professionals in an environment that promotes diversity, inclusion, and empowerment.
- Operations and Program Management: Lead and direct the organization's operational plans, programs, and services, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission.
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Leadership Experience: Strong business acumen and a history of providing visionary leadership at the executive level.
- Strategic and Visionary Thinking: Ability to translate vision into common language to motivate and inspire others.
- Fund Development: Advanced understanding of government/project funding, proposal writing, and economic development initiatives.
- Action Oriented and Influence: Develop and execute realistic operational plans and budgets, identify resources needed, and delegate clear accountability for deliverables.
- Change Management: Accept change and adapt to priorities, creating a learning environment that leads to efficient and effective processes.
- Collaboration and Diplomacy: Exhibit professional diplomacy and deliver clear, effective, and respectful communication, establishing productive and collaborative working relationships.
