Job Title: Chief Executive Officer - Community Development Leader

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization in promoting women's participation in trades and technology. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, management, and direction to our team, ensuring the organization's success and growth in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to guide the organization's growth and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to ensure effective governance and decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations.
  • Lead and direct the organization's operational plans, programs, and services, ensuring effective program delivery and financial management.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with financial, operational, cybersecurity, and reputational challenges.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong business acumen and leadership experience in an executive role, preferably in the trades and technology sector.
  • Strategic thinking and visioning skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Advanced understanding of government/project funding, proposal writing, and economic development.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship development skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work activities, manage multiple projects, and juggle complex tasks.
