Job Summary:

The College of the Rockies is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Accessibility Services Coordinator. This position is a key member of the Student Services team, responsible for providing specialized support and services to students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver support services for students with disabilities, including academic accommodations and assistive technology.
  • Collaborate with faculty to plan and implement supports and accommodations for students with disabilities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and staff to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Provide training and education to faculty and staff on disability awareness and accessibility.
  • Stay up-to-date with accessibility legislation and best practices in disability support.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in a relevant field, such as Disability Studies, Special Education, or Counselling.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with students with disabilities in a post-secondary setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Experience with assistive technology and student information systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
