Job Title: Academic Director

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Academic Director will oversee the department's operations, ensuring alignment with the Minister of Red River Métis Veterans' strategic plans and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement departmental programs and services to achieve established goals and objectives.
  • Manage the department's budget, supervise administrative staff, and provide regular reports to the Chief Operating Officer and Minister.
  • Collaborate with other departments, affiliates, and external stakeholders to advance the department's mission.
  • Liaise with provincial and federal government officials to ensure compliance with contracts and funding agreements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role with emphasis on management, human resources, communications, research, and program development.
  • Knowledge of Veterans issues and Red River Métis culture is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in proposal preparation and presentations.
  • Ability to travel and possess a valid Manitoba Driver's license.
