Internal Medicine Site Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical professional to fill the role of Internal Medicine Site Director at Grace Hospital. This is a part-time position, approximately 5-6 hours per week, requiring attendance at evening meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Regional Medical Specialty Lead in planning and coordinating the Internal Medicine program system-wide.
  • Ensure effective and efficient delivery of care at Grace Hospital as the Medicine Site Lead.
  • Collaborate with other managers responsible for Internal Medicine beds and consultation services.
Requirements:
  • Hold an FRCP(C) in Internal Medicine or equivalent.
  • Have a full-time appointment to the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Manitoba at the Rank of Assistant Professor or higher.
  • 5 years or more of experience in a medical leadership role is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in management functions, including strategic planning, human resource, and financial management.
Reporting Structure:

The Site Director will report to both the Regional Medical Specialty Lead and the Chief Medical Officer of the Authority for overall planning and coordination of service delivery. For day-to-day activities, the incumbent will report to the Chief Medical Officer of the Site.

The Site Director will also liaise with the academic Department Head for contractual issues and enhancing teaching and research activities.
