Senior Auto Damage Appraiser

At Aviva, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer service while controlling indemnity spend and expenses. We're seeking a skilled Senior Auto Damage Appraiser to join our team in the Ontario GTA region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced estimating systems to prepare accurate and competitive auto repair estimates, communicating repair estimate information to customers, repair facilities, and claim representatives as needed.
  • Negotiate with repair facilities to ensure efficient repair plan processes.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of repaired vehicles to ensure quality of service and cost control measures.
  • Evaluate the actual value of vehicles declared a total loss, taking proactive steps to control storage and rental vehicle costs.
  • Adhere to dispatch needs and fulfill claim investigation and resolution in the field.
  • Report fraudulent claims to senior supervisors.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle damage appraisal and collision repair industry.
  • Working knowledge of Mitchell Estimating System.
  • Strong knowledge of motor vehicle repairs, including passenger vehicles.
  • Prior appraiser experience is essential.
  • Strong computer skills, good communication skills, a strong team player, and strong problem-solving skills.
