In line with our core values of Care, Commitment, Community and Confidence, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Auto Damage Appraiser to join our Aviva team.


This role will be based in the Ontario GTA region and will involve the assessment of motor vehicle repair costs and the adjustment and settlement of automobile physical damage claims.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the vehicle damage appraisal and collision repair industry, with a strong knowledge of the Mitchell Estimating System.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:



  • Utilizing automated estimating systems to prepare complete and competitive auto repair estimates;
  • Negotiating with repair facilities on repair plan processes;
  • Re-inspecting repaired vehicles for quality of service and cost control measures;
  • Evaluating the actual value of vehicles declared a total loss and taking proactive steps to control storage and rental vehicle costs;
  • Adhering to dispatch needs and fulfilling claim investigation and resolution in the field;
  • Reporting fraudulent claims to senior supervisors.
