Nurse Specialist in Geriatric Mental Health

Alberta Health Services offers an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Seniors Mental Health Program at the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury.
The successful candidate will provide nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. In this role, you will utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, teaching, counseling, and advocating on behalf of patients and their families.
You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance, providing safe, quality patient-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in nursing, with completion of an accredited nursing education program, and be registered and eligible for practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is also required.
In addition to the required qualifications, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A competitive salary ranging from $123,000 to $138,000 per year, commensurate with experience, is offered for this position.
