Your Opportunity:

The Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join their team in the Seniors Mental Health Program at the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury. This is a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility with a multidisciplinary team of specialists and health professionals.

The Seniors Mental Health program provides assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation programs for individuals over the age of 65 with psychiatric illnesses. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide treatment and medication recommendations for seniors with complex presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations
  • Utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making
  • Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families
  • Support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
