Your Opportunity:

Description:

As a Psychiatric Aide at Alberta Health Services, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides high-quality care to patients in a mental health setting. Your role will involve working collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to meet the personal care needs and comforts of patients, in accordance with patient care plans and facility policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist nurses with routine care to meet patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs.
  • Observe and report on patients' mood, health, and well-being.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 completion or equivalent combination of education and experience satisfactory to the employer.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least one year of experience working with patients in a mental health setting.
