Bechtel Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the owner side activities related to a progressive design build project, and the works to reach an agreeable target price with our contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all activities associated with the development of the target price, including estimating, planning, risk, reporting and cost.
  • Provide best practice Project Controls expertise and service across the program incorporating cost management, project scheduling, reporting and risk management.
  • Develop and implement existing client procedures, tools and processes to allow for effective monitoring, reporting during the target price phase.
  • Ensure the right level of resources are maintained for optimum delivery.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of training plans.
  • Develop key objectives and the judicious direction of all Project Controls functions including processes, procedures, systems and resources.
  • Chair Project Reviews and risk workshops to ensure that all major projects are being managed effectively from a cost, time and risk management perspective.
  • Provide support, advice and expertise to the contracts and commercial team in relation to target price.

Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
  • 15 years' experience, at least 10+ years within the rail industry
