Job Title: Capital Projects Cost Control Manager

Infrastructure Ontario is seeking a highly skilled Capital Projects Cost Control Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Project Delivery Enterprise Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cost control process for our capital projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cost control plans and procedures to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate cost risks, and develop strategies to minimize cost overruns.
  • Provide cost control training and support to project teams, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to manage costs effectively.
  • Develop and maintain cost control metrics and reports to track project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including project sponsors, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure that cost control requirements are met.
Requirements:
  • Several years of experience in cost control and project management, preferably in the infrastructure or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control principles, practices, and tools, including Earned Value Management (EVM) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop recommendations to improve cost control processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other project management tools.
