About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our IM/IT and OPOR initiatives. Reporting to an IMIT/OPOR Manager, you will oversee a dynamic team responsible for the requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation of IM/IT and OPOR projects.

As a Project Manager, you will demonstrate leadership behaviours and capabilities, consistent with the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework. You will be accountable to support the NSHA mission and vision in the implementation and evaluation of all required health information and technology for decision making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, implementing, and promoting the provincial strategic direction under the guidance and direction of the IMIT/OPOR Manager.
  • Ensuring a customer service-focused approach throughout the portfolio by developing a stakeholder engagement strategy for planning and continuous quality improvement.
  • Establishing and maintaining working relationships with clinical staff, physicians, clinical leaders, and other business stakeholders to promote awareness of IM/IT systems and processes.
  • Counseling Directors and Program Managers with respect to clinical technology projects and alignment with the strategic direction of IM/IT and its clients.
  • Leading and motivating a high-performing, dynamic, multi-disciplinary team promoting quality work, high levels of customer service in a cost-effective manner.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • An undergraduate degree (consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience).
  • A minimum of five to seven years' leadership experience with IM/IT Services, project management, programs, and services.
  • A Master's degree is an asset, particularly in health administration, leadership, or business administration.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) is required.
  • Certified Health Executive (CHE) and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation is an asset.
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management Professions (PMO), and/or organizational change management certification is an asset.
  • Project Management experience in a complex healthcare organizational environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare issues.
  • Knowledge and skills in the areas of Project Management methodologies, IM/IT tools, applications, and systems of support.
  • Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures.
  • Clearly communicates the NSHA vision, mission, and values.
  • Experience in working with patient care leaders.
  • Competencies in other languages are preferred, French is an asset.

$51.85 Hourly
