Electrical Project Manager – Halifax Office

At Meridia Recruitment Solutions, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team in the Halifax office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, technicians, and contractors, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate and manage project documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and project close-out reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including provincial building codes, electrical codes, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors, to ensure project success and future business opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or related degree.
  • Registration with Engineers Nova Scotia or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical building services, with a proven track record of successfully executing complex projects.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Knowledge of provincial building codes, electrical codes, and industry standards, including CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES, and NFPA standards.
