Role Summary

We are seeking a talented Senior Risk Analytics Manager to join our Scotiabank team. As a key member of our Risk Management group, you will play a pivotal role in helping us drive business growth while minimizing risk.

As a Senior Risk Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced analytics techniques to enhance our risk management capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovative credit solutions and drive business value through data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions to support risk management and business growth.
  2. Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for innovative credit solutions and drive business value through data-driven decision making.
  3. Design and implement data engineering, visualization, and machine learning requirements in collaboration with the Business Intelligence team and key stakeholders.
  4. Actively contribute to developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

  1. University degree in a relevant STEM discipline.
  2. Proficiency in big data tools and programming languages (e.g., SAS, SQL, Spark).
  3. Experience with machine learning and other AI techniques for strategy design.
  4. Strong collaboration and communication skills to translate technical knowledge into business value.
