Global Operations Specialist, Commodities Trading

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Operations Specialist to join our Commodities Trading team. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective daily settlement and confirmation operation process.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is around $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible work arrangements, retirement savings plan, and employee assistance program.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall success of the GWO Commodities Operations team globally by executing individual goals, plans, and initiatives in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.
- Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Provide flexible support for daily operational workstation coverage across the department and offer feedback to management during workstation design initiatives.
- Understand internal control procedures and provide feedback to management to ensure controls remain relevant and robust.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk.
- Champion a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vision/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of all Bank policies, regulatory requirements, limits, and controls which may affect or restrict all aspects of the day-to-day responsibilities for the unit.
- Solid grasp of principles of all operating systems and applications used by the unit.
Work Arrangement
This role will work in a standard office-based environment, with non-standard hours being a common occurrence. Travel may be required on an exception basis.
