We are seeking a skilled Senior Trade Compliance Analyst to join our team based in Markham, ON. This role will develop, implement, manage, and maintain customs compliance procedures to ensure SHEIN complies with Canadian importing and exporting regulations and other related agencies, laws, and regulations.
Job Responsibilities- Stay current with Canadian trade regulations and provide compliance guidance and advice.
- Interpret trade regulations and prepare guidance documents for relevant stakeholders.
- Manage customs broker operations by maintaining a procedure manual.
- Review monthly KPIs and make recommendations to drive business improvements.
- Assess business risks and implement adequate controls.
- Ensure SHEIN complies with licensing, notification, and record-keeping requirements.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure accurate classification.
- Act as a subject matter expert on trade compliance directives.
- Support the Regional Director of Trade Compliance on Canada-specific matters.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, International Trade, Business, Law, or related field preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant trade compliance experience in e-commerce, consumer goods, and apparel industry.
- Certified Customs Specialist or other Compliance-related certification is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of HTS classification and General Rules of Interpretation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations and international trade.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts simply and write policies and procedures.
This position offers an estimated annual salary of $95,000 - $115,000 depending on experience, and is located in Markham, ON.
