Job Title: Drafting Specialist - Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Drafting Specialist to join our team at QSP Geographics Inc. as a Project Coordinator.

About the Job:

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, developing and preparing design sketches, completing documentation packages and drawing sets, examining drawings for conformity and errors, and consulting with clients, engineers, or production specialists to establish product requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer-assisted drafting software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and MS Windows.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets, adhering to industry standards and company guidelines.
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Consult with clients, engineers, or production specialists to establish product requirements, understanding their needs and expectations.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in CAD drafting, with a strong background in detailing drafting.
  • Proficiency in microStation, AutoCAD, and MS Windows.
  • Familiarity with mapping and data visualization software.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
