About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our hospital's equipment maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean, decontaminate, check, test, assemble, sterilize, and distribute medical supplies, instruments, and equipment according to established procedures.
  • Operate departmental equipment such as automated washers, cart washer, pasteurizer, ultrasonic washer, clean dryer, heat sealer, and sterilizers.
  • Report and/or remove any malfunctioning equipment or instruments.
  • Issue and/or deliver supplies when requested.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12, plus successful completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Processing program, plus one year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal effectively with others.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Knowledge of surgical and medical terminology.

Location and Salary

This is a full-time position located at Burnaby Hospital in Burnaby, BC. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $58,182 - $68,458 per year, based on a 40-hour workweek and a range of $28.91 - $28.91 per hour.
