About the Role

UHN is seeking a Senior Biological Research Manager to lead our research team in vision science/physiological optics. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year.

Job Description
  • We are looking for an experienced leader who can supervise laboratory technical personnel, medical clinical personnel, graduate students, research scientists, and other professionals.
  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in research management and a doctorate degree.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage research projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop and implement research strategies and plans.
  • Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on research methodologies.
  • Conduct research presentations at conferences and workshops.
Requirements
  • A master's or doctoral degree in biological sciences or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in research management or leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of leading successful research projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
