Urban Agriculture Director

At MicroHabitat, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our urban agriculture program. As the Urban Agriculture Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of our urban farms, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement urban agriculture strategies to improve the urban environment and promote sustainability.
- Supervise and train a team of urban farmers and lead farmers to ensure the successful operation of our urban farms.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Manage human resources for the farming department, including hiring, training, and employee contracts.
- Collaborate with suppliers and supply chains to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Develop and implement safety and quality protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, agriculture, or urban planning.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in urban agriculture or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in leading teams and implementing sustainable practices.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position with a 10-hour shift. The work environment is on-site at our urban farms.
