Teach French as a Second Language

We are seeking a qualified French Language Educator to join our team at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. As a Second Language Instructor, you will be responsible for providing instruction in French as a Second Language to adults.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in French as a Second Language to adults
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to support student growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum

Requirements:

  • Relevant post-secondary education or studies in the French language or equivalent/OCT preferred with French Specialist
  • PBLA trained or in-training an asset
  • Experience in providing instruction in FSL to adults
  • Understanding of application of the Canadian Language Benchmarks, National Language Placement and Progression Guidelines and PBLA process
  • Familiar with the HARTs system: assessment appointments scheduling, referrals, transfers, withdrawals and progress reports, printing attendance history, certificates and check Ministry Registers
